For example, for index page I want all chat inquiries to be assigned to Steve but for contact page I want the chat message to be assigned automatically to other team members. I checked API docs but couldn't find anything on this matter. Thank you in advance.

Hey @user376 👋 you won't need our API for this, you can set it up through the Intercom UI!
Check out our article on how to automate different workflows using Rules - specifically, the section on assigning conversations will be of great help to you!
