If we unpublish an app from the App Store, can a user still uninstall it?

My understanding is that to remove an app, they need to open their inbox, navigate to the App Store, find the app and remove it. However, if we unpublish the app, can they still do this?

The use case for us is we are swapping an old app for a new one, and they have the same name, so we can't have two published at the same time.

Hey @colin l11, would it be possible to simply de-list the app temporarily, update it to the new version, and re-list it?

Hey Eric, thanks for the reply. No, it's not possible to do that as it's an entirely new code base etc. That said, this is the answer from the App Store team in case anyone is wondering:

If a workspace had the app installed already, it will still appear in the "Installed Apps" section of the App Store, even if the listing is now marked as not publicly available. They can uninstall it from here. There is also a means to uninstall the app across all workspaces it is installed for. For private apps, the app owner can do this from the Developer Hub.
