How do we use Intercom's 'Verify Account' email template to confirm a new user sign up?

We set up an email using the Intercom template below (shown when you click on 'New email --> Choose template', but it's not working. We've tried changing several things but still cannot figure it out!

Basically, we want to follow the standard sign-up flow of most websites:

New User signs up/registers --> 'Verify Account' email is sent to them (hopefully from Intercom!) --> User clicks on the link in email --> Account is verified and they're taken to the 'Sign In' screen.

Hey @mim! Daniel from Customer Support Engineering here 🔧

The template only dictates the content of the email itself, so you'll need to set it up to be sent when a user joins 😁 While editing your email, under the Rules > Triggers section, add an event rule where the "signed up" event must be "on the date". Essentially, this means that when a user signs up on the current date, an email will be sent out to them. It should look something like this 👇

Screenshot on 2022-07-06 at 17-32-42If there's a specific point during the sign-up that you'd like the user to be sent the email, you can always set up event tracking in Intercom, so that when a user performs an action on your site (say, clicking a button), it will trigger the email to be sent. You can configure the email to be sent in the same way as mentioned above 😃

Hope this helps 🙌
